How to change the hours defining the intervals displayed in the calendars for a particular day

There are two different settings controlling the hours for the intervals displayed in the calendars:

A - The Business hours.
The Business hours are site specific and will affect the ability of the users to schedule or book activities outside these intervals.

  1. Log in to the Management Console
  2. Open the Sites applet and select the desired site.
  3. Press the Edit button.
  4. Select the desired time of the day for the Busines time starts at field (business start time). The users won't be able to schedule meetings / activities or book rooms / resources before this time of the day.
  5. For the Business Time Ends After field select the number of hours and minutes (counting from the business start time) after which the scheduling of resources is not allowed. Note that the values for this field should be selected as hours and minutes effectively expressing the length of the business day and not the actual time of the day when the business ends. For example, if the business start time is 10:00 AM and the business day ends at 6:30 PM, the Business Time Ends After field should display 08:30 which is the actual length of the business day.
  6. Save the changes and close the Sites applet.

B - The span of the intervals displayed in the calendars for any given day.

How to change these settings:

  1. Log in to the Management Console
  2. Open the Settings applet
  3. Select the General tab
  4. Select the desired time of The Day Starts at field  which represents the calendar display start time.
  5. For The Day Ends After field select the length of the calendar span for day views. This field should be expressed in number of minutes counting from the calendar display start time. For example, if The Day Starts at is 10:00 AM and the day displayed in the schedule ends at 7:00 PM, he Day Ends After field should have a value of 420 which is the actual length in minutes of the interval displayed in the schedule.
  6. Save the changes and close the Settings applet.
