How to remove VisualTime from the server

Under normal conditions, the VisualTime program can be un-installed via Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.

If the installation program fails to complete succesfully, you may need to manually remove VisualTime from the server.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Stop the VisualTime SMTP Service.
  2. Delete the service by opening a command prompt and launch the following command:

  3. sc delete VisualTimeSMTPService

  4. Using the IIS Management Console delete the following applications / virtual directories:

  5. /visualtime
    /visualtime_reports
    /visualtime_web (or /visualtime_webviewer)

  6. Using Windows Explorer or a command prompt delete the C:\Program files\Visualtime folder.
  7. In Windows Control Panel  under the Add / Remove Programs (or Programs and Features for Windows 2008) - delete the Visualtime Scheduling Solutions entry. This step may require a third party tool such as MyUninstaller from http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/myuninst.html
  8. Using the Windows Registry Editor (regedit), delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VisualTime key (for Windows 64 bit systems delete the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\VisualTime)
  9. In SQL Server Management Studio  delete the VisualTime database.

Note:
Don't run the uninstall program from the VisualTime installation folder. Always uninstall the program via Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.
